A cart flow that brings back the whole cart.
WAG is an Australian dog treat brand. A cart email looks easy, because the shopper already chose. The hard part is the details: the email has to show what they left, and the button has to bring their cart back.
Built on these brands' real products to show our work. The brands did not commission them.
Every email, in the order it sends

The flow starts when a shopper
leaves a cart without checking out
- After 1 hour
Email 1
He’s still waiting.
Arrives an hour after the cart is left, with a product from their own cart inside.
- Day 1
Email 2
Still on the fence?
Answers the doubt most dog owners have, with a real review from an owner of a picky eater, and shows how close the cart is to free shipping.
- Day 3
Email 3
Eyes on the prize.
The last call, with the 15% Subscribe & Save offer WAG already runs.
It stops the moment they buy.
Nobody gets a reminder about something they already bought.
What the test showed
Testing caught two problems before any shopper could. The cart link broke, because Klaviyo stores quantities as decimals. And a cart with three products started three separate emails.
Both were fixed and tested again: one email per cart, and a button that brought back all three products.
Tested on a Shopify test store, 1 October 2026.
What it means for your store
Most of a cart flow's value sits in details nobody sees until they break. Test with a real cart, with more than one product, on more than one device.
